History

The Byron Bay Surf School – operator of Surf Camp Byron Bay – is Byron Bay’s original surf school, teaching locals and visitors how to surf since 1996.

Over that time, we’ve taught from 3 locations in town – including the fabled Surf School House on Jonson Street, where surf dreams were made and people fell in love.

Byron Bay Surf School is one of the few surf schools in town actually licenced to teach in Byron Bay. We teach on Byron & Tweed Coast beaches, just a short walk from your accommodation and you’re ready to surf.

National Geographic recently voted Byron Bay the best place in Oz to learn to surf and one of the top 5 places in the world!   Surf Camp Byron Bay makes it easy and organised, to experience the best life there is in Australia’s #1 surf town.
